Nokia, in partnership with EGC International, has been selected by Kingston Freeport Terminal Limited (KFTL) to deploy a private LTE/5G network at its container terminal in Kingston, Jamaica. Additionally, Nokia has announced that it will be the first telecom company to manufacture fiber-optic broadband network electronics products and optical modules in the U.S. for use in the BEAD program, creating up to 200 new jobs.
