Ofwat has sent provisional findings to UK wastewater companies, including Northumbrian Water, Thames Water, and Yorkshire Water, regarding concerns over wastewater treatment. Thames Water is currently reviewing the findings and plans to cooperate. Ofwat has the authority to impose a financial penalty of up to 10% of relevant turnover if necessary. Final decisions are expected in the first quarter of 2023.
