Svea Irving, a Winter Park Competition Center alum, has achieved significant success in the women's halfpipe skiing scene, winning the U.S. Women’s National Championship of Halfpipe and placing seventh at the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix in Copper Mountain. Her brother, Birk Irving, is also a top male halfpipe skier. Svea's father, Brendan Irving, is the Ski Patrol Supervisor at Winter Park Resort. She is now preparing for the FIS Freeski Halfpipe World Cup in Calgary, Canada.
