Taxi Operators Compensate for ERP Installation

Taxi operators in Singapore will compensate drivers for time spent installing new on-board units (OBUs) for the new Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) system, part of the transition to ERP 2.0. The installation process involves scheduling OBU installation during vehicle maintenance or at convenient times, with the aim of minimizing downtime. The exercise was initially delayed due to a global microchip shortage during the COVID-19 pandemic and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
