Next week, magniX and our customer Harbour Air are honoured to have been asked to bring the keynote speech to the Society of Flight Test Engineers Annual Awards Banquet. Ben Loxton from magniX and Erika Holtz, PEng, DAR from Harbour Air will be presenting an overview of the eBeaver flight missions and the progress of the program.

magniX 's VP of Engineering David Sercombe joined our customer Harbour Air to share insights at the recent The International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS) forum in the beautiful Italian city of Florence. Speaking at a session on "Regional Fuel Flexible and Hybrid Flight Demos (Lessons Learned)", David shared our experience and what we have learned so far in electrifying flight. As we continue to power the electric aviation revolution, we are now moving to the next phase in the NASA Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstration program by unveiling the De Havilland DHC-7 (Dash 7) aircraft that will be retrofitted with our industry-leading electric powertrains. We unveiled the aircraft at a ceremony today in Seattle attended by our NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration partners, including Robert Pearce . Terrific to have our partners at AeroTEC - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification Inc. and Harbour Air also join us. Our deepest gratitude to the provider of the Dash 7, Air Tindi . magniX has developed a family of flight proven electric propulsion units (EPUs) and energy storage systems (ESS) for commercial aviation. ESS options include high density batteries and hydrogen fuel cells.

magniX powered the all-electric flight of a modified Robinson R44 helicopter. The battery-electric retrofit was sponsored by United Therapeutics — a biotechnology company on a mission to develop a fleet of zero-emissions rotorcraft to deliver life-saving transplant organs to hospitals.
