Last month at Global Anti-Scam Summit Asia 2024, Straits Interactive Founder and CEO Kevin Shepherdson, FIP, CIPP/A/E, CIPM was part of the panel on 'What the Future Holds for Scam Prevention', where he demonstrated how easy it was to create scams within minutes. AI tools can be exploited to sophisticated phishing schemes, fake news, and even deepfakes, targeting businesses and individuals alike. For instance, as shown during the talk, cybercriminals can use AI to generate realistic but entirely fraudulent videos. Businesses must stay vigilant and guard against scams with proactive data governance measures.

🌟 SME Success Track @ People Behind People 2024 Recap – Breakout Track by Celine Chew Celine Chew (Head of Learning & Development at Straits Interactive ) delved into the hot topic of AI literacy in the workplace, focusing on how GenAI is revolutionising workplace productivity while emphasising the importance of understanding its capabilities and limitations. Celine begun by sharing about AI practical applications in HR, including tasks like creating job descriptions, generating interview questions, and developing training materials. She also highlighted risk factors associated with GenAI including data privacy concerns and offered practical recommendations for business leaders to consider such as implementing private GenAI accounts and developing clear usage guidelines.
