Sigma2 Collaborates with Iris.ai to enhance European research through HPC access

Sigma2 AS - Norwegian research infrastructure services (NRIS), Norway's official provider of national e-infrastructure resources for research, has announced a strategic collaboration with Iris.ai, granting significant High-Performance Computing (#HPC) capacity on Norwegian Saga and EU LUMI supercomputer. This partnership aims to promote research and scientific innovation in Norway.

Iris.ai, known for its AI engine for scientific text understanding, will leverage this HPC capacity to enhance its AI-driven tools. These tools help researchers efficiently sift through vast datasets, extract critical insights, organise data, and stay updated with new publications.

Roger Kvam, Leader of the National Competence Centre for HPC in Norway, hosted by Sigma2, stated, "Empowering organizations like Iris.ai with the computational resources they need levels the playing field in AI research and development. Our infrastructure supports innovation at SMEs and startups, often the birthplaces of groundbreaking ideas, but who can lack the hardware capacity to enable their ambitions."
