🔷 Innovative 3D-Chip-Technologie: SEMRON revolutioniert mit seinem patentierten CapRAM™-Gerät die Chipindustrie durch die Entwicklung des monolithischen #3D-Chips für Rechenaufgaben. Diese Technologie ermöglicht eine außergewöhnliche Rechenleistung auf kleinstem Raum und überwindet damit traditionelle Skalierungsengpässe der 2D-Siliziumtechnologie. Dadurch wird die Effizienz gesteigert, indem Volumen effizient skaliert wird, während gleichzeitig Fläche gespart wird. 
🔷  CapRAM™-Technologie: Im Kern von SEMRONs Differenzierung liegt die CapRAM™-Technologie, eine innovative Halbleiterlösung, die Gewichte für Matrixmultiplikationen als variable Kapazität speichert. Dies führt zu grundlegend niedrigeren Rauschniveaus bei Berechnungen im Vergleich zu anderen Technologien, was die obere Grenze für die Energieeffizienz setzt.  
🔷 Generative KI in jedem Gerät: SEMRON entwickelt den einzigen KI-Inferenzchip, der in der Lage ist, generative #KI kontinuierlich in mobilen Geräten auszuführen, und bereitet sich aktuell auf seinen dritten Tape-Out vor. Dies ermöglicht die Einführung neuer KI-gesteuerter Geräte und beseitigt Hindernisse, die bisher die Massenakzeptanz dieser Produkte behinderten.
🔷 Letzte Finanzierungsrunde: Im Februar 2024 hat SEMRON in einer Seed-Finanzierungsrunde 7,9 Millionen US-Dollar erhalten. Die Finanzierung wurde von JOIN CAPITAL angeführt, mit Beteiligungen von SquareOne Venture Capital, OTB Ventures, Hermann Hausers Onsight Ventures und bestehenden Investoren.

Congratulations to SEMRON, an Intel Ignite Europe Batch #6 startup, on raising €7.3m in seed funding!

Led by JOIN CAPITAL and supported by SquareOne Venture Capital, OTB Ventures, and Onsight Ventures, this funding positions Semron for semiconductor innovation at a time when Moore’s Law is slowing down. The startup is developing 3D-scaled chips to run very large AI models locally on smartphones, earbuds, VR headsets and other mobile devices.

With this fresh capital infusion, Semron plans to intensify hardware and compiler development, quadruple its team by the end of the year, and focus on internationalization.
