Team EY 🤝 5k run Today at EvovleYou HQ we practiced what we preached and undertook the challenge that we set our community worldwide for our Day 24 Drop'tober challenge: a 5k run. Alongside collecting the post-workout endorphins (and a chance to complete a workout in-app 👀) each employee donated to our chosen charity CoppaFeel! to further support our £1,000 donation for Breast Cancer Awareness month. There was never a better time to get outside and make our health a priority: it's thought that physical activity lowers the level of certain circulating hormones and reduces inflammation, which can help lower the likelihood of breast cancer developing and progressing by around 20% (Breast Cancer UK). If you haven't already this month, check your chest or remind a loved one who should: early detection can save lives 💕

As a dedicated female fitness brand, EvolveYou are proud to sponsor The Krissy Cela Schools Initiative: Project Power by KC. 40% of women aged 16 and over are not active enough to get the full health benefits of sport/physical activity (Sport England, 2020). At EvolveYou our mission is to empower women and ensure they are well supported and educated throughout their fitness journey, to help them lead a healthy lifestyle and create good habits both in and outside the gym. We've loved getting involved in the project in numerous ways such as; developing and designing a comprehensive 6-week bodyweight workout guide for teenage girls to follow, which aims to help them learn key movements and gain confidence. Additionally, we've also created a well-being booklet, covering key topics such as tips on sleep, information on the menstrual cycle and how this can impact your body, core elements of nutrition, and education around the importance of moving for your mental health. We aim to provide the students with the tools they need to feel supported and confident in physical exercise but also offer essential information that contributes towards their overall well-being. To support the Project Power workshops and visits, we've also gifted over 700 water bottles and yoga mats, supplying the students with the tools they need to move their bodies, in PE and in their own time. With these resources as well as the continuation of the Project Power workshops nationwide, we hope to inspire a new generation of girls to embrace movement, prioritise wellness, and take pride in their physical achievements. Together, we can help foster a love for movement that will last a lifetime.

At EvolveYou we’re committed to supporting women for life - today, tomorrow and always, which is why throughout October we've been championing Breast Cancer Awareness month. Studies have also shown that that by increasing your physical activity you can significantly reduce your risk by as much as 20% and in the UK, 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime ( CoppaFeel! ). As a female-founded company with a community of hundreds of thousands of women, we feel it’s so important to raise awareness and help educate on how vital it is to check your chest. Community member Naomi recently reached out to EvolveYou to share her story: in June 2024 she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer and despite regular checks on the lumps on her breasts, a cyst had developed a cancerous attachment and she is currently going through rounds of chemotherapy, has upcoming surgery, radiotherapy and immunotherapy. She spent a day with our team in EvolveYou HQ to film this about her story. ‘I’m so grateful for communities like EvolveYou that make me feel like I can share and be vulnerable, but also give me power, affirmation and motivation. Yes I’m doing things differently to what I’m used to, but I’m grateful to get up and move my body whilst it is fighting for me’ We're proud to have donated £1,000 to a CoppaFeel! : feel your best, check your chest and lets beat breast cancer sooner. This hands-on experience gave us valuable insight into how our community are finding this new training style and gave total beginners the chance to try Pilates in a live class led by Krsna🩰 With a small but agile team, shoots abroad can come with their own challenges, but we're lucky to be able to bring the EvolveYou app to our members, globally.

In a fast-paced world, many are seeking ways to combine physical fitness with mental relaxation; so it's no wonder pilates is having a resurgence this year. Recognising this rise in demand along with our community's desire for holistic wellness, we introduced Pilates to our app last month. Not only this; to add to our strength training offering, we launched a Pilates hybrid program to strategically integrate the principles of Pilates with signature strength training movements, delivering a unique and results-driven approach to fitness. We've been full foot on the gas for the past six months at EvolveYou, so it was only right we let off some steam on a race track 👀 Our competitive spirit was definitely on show as we all tried to channel our inner F1 drivers for the first half of our Summer party! Not forgetting to bring a little summer sunshine; we ended the day with a beach-inspired party, where we reflected on the team's hard work with awards, played games and took to the dance floor! It was great to welcome new staff members and have some fun as a team 💙
