To empower product teams to do their best work, we are building an issue tracking and project management tool that combines UI elegance with world-class performance. Founded in 2019, Linear has become the tool of choice for thousands of high-impact companies to build their products better.

Linear was set up as a fully remote company from the start. Today, our small but mighty team is distributed across North America and Europe. We’re excited to share that we raised a $35M Series B led by Accel, with participation from Sequoia Capital and 01 Advisors to help Linear build the best-in-class project and issue tracking system.

We have some incredible leaders joining this round, including Stewart Butterfield, Cal Henderson, Claire Hughes Johnson, Koen Bok, Jorn van Dijk & others. Several of our current customers also participated in the round including Guillermo Rauch, Ilkka Paananen, Josh Miller, Immad Akhund & Andrew Mason. 

We now support thousands of customers from startups to public companies: Cash App, Vercel, Retool, Supercell, Cohere. While many start with Linear from day one, many of our customers, including Replit, Remote, Modern Treasury & Verkada have switched from legacy tools.

We didn’t have to raise a new round, but it gives us the capital and confidence to build and grow for many years to come. We’re now:
- Profitable, with more cash in the bank than we’ve ever raised
- 50 employees across 13 countries
- Thousands of companies using Linear

It is now easier to get started with views. Simply start by exploring issues and applying filters before deciding whether you want to save the view permanently or create a quick share link. Plus plan users also have access to Insights in explore mode.

In addition to new explore mode, we also utilize AI to create a prefilled name and description for your view when you’re ready to save it.

Open a new view with ⌥+V (or Alt+V) and start exploring.

Linear’s @-mentions have received a full makeover: in addition to teammates, you can now also mention issues, projects, and documents.

Each mention is interactive. When you hover over it, you’ll see more details about the linked object. Mentioned issues will show the familiar status icon inline. In addition to new types of mentions, we improved the search ranking to support queries with multiple words.

New quality-of-life-improvement update: Find the right icon for your project, view, or roadmap in a fraction of a second

We are rolling out updates to project updates: 
New project updates now include a summary of changes that have occurred since the last update, so you can easily see how much the project has progressed. We also highlight other changes such as revised target dates.
