🚀 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀! In a recent project, AIRlabs collaborated with Dimetor and A1 Telekom Austria AG to conduct a test in the LOR-11 Frauschereck test airspace. Instead of relying solely on calculated data, the mobile network coverage was measured in real time during a flight. This approach allowed us to efficiently and sustainably collect accurate data on the ground. By feeding these measurements into Dimetor's AI (AirborneRF), we were able to refine the mobile network models for safe Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) deployments. With 4G test flights in Frauschereck and plans to expand to other AIRlabs airspace areas, the potential to improve drone operations and communication systems was realised. 🚁 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗸!! We are excited to share our recent collaboration with Hybrid Aerospace Amynetron , where we conducted tests at the 𝗔𝗜𝗥𝗹𝗮𝗯𝘀 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗟𝗢-𝗥 𝟭𝟭 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗸 in Upper Austria. These trials were a crucial step in preparing Hybrid Aerospace for a drone competition and mark a major milestone for their 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺. The focus of the tests? The 𝗛𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲, equipped with an advanced 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 that operates 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗚𝗡𝗦𝗦 connectivity. This system enables the drone to navigate in challenging environments—perfect for long-distance 𝗕𝗩𝗟𝗢𝗦 flights (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) and operations in remote regions like Frauschereck. We also completed a 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 test at the take-off and landing areas Teufeltal and Hirschtal, which was highly successful and paves the way for further trials in the future. We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the AKIA (Application of Artificial Intelligence in Reforestation Projects) initiative! In collaboration with 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘇 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗿-𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗻𝗵𝗼𝗳-𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘂 forestry operation and micromacro GmbH , the project pushed the boundaries of drone technology in forestry. A live demo showcased the detection of young plants using AI-powered drone software, followed by an in-depth analysis of the data, processed on-site by micromacro’s cutting-edge technology.
