The ESRA Chairman Handover Event in Turin focused on the first intensive year of the alliance: Since the signing of the 10-point declaration in September 2023, important foundations have been laid that underline the growing interest in the semiconductor industry in European regions. Focus of the event: - Strengthening European competitiveness: Synergies between regions are crucial to secure Europe's position in the global market and avoid fragmentation. The protection of supply chains and stronger networking of European ecosystems are central tasks. - Important role of the Chips Act: The implementation of the Chips Act remains indispensable and must ensure that regional interests and quick decisions are supported. - Promoting education and research: Building a strong skills environment supports the development of the European Union.
