Continental Steel is proud to have played a key role in the construction of CDC 's new state-of-the-art data center in Melbourne. This facility is part of CDC’s growing portfolio and is master-planned to deliver up to 150MW of critical IT load at full build. Our team supplied & installed 520 tons of fabricated steel, including complex trusses that required precision engineering and careful installation. The project’s scale and complexity demanded the highest standards of craftsmanship, and we were proud to meet these challenges head-on. This data center will support Melbourne’s growing digital infrastructure needs, and its capacity makes it one of the most advanced facilities in the region, contributing to Australia's rapidly expanding data economy. This project is a testament to the power of collaboration. By working together with Total Construction Pty Ltd and CDC , we’ve helped bring a cutting-edge facility to life—one that will have a lasting impact on both the local economy and the broader digital landscape.

Continental Steel is proud to have contributed to the construction of Toll Group 's new facility, which is on track to achieve a 5-Star Green Star certification and an A1 compliance rating from the Therapeutic Goods Administration. In collaboration with CMW Design & Construct (VIC) as the principal contractor, along with many other trades and suppliers, the vision for this custom-built, 10,000-square-meter temperature-controlled facility has become a reality. This cutting-edge site will now house the only cell-based influenza vaccine manufacturing facility in the Southern Hemisphere, operated by CSL Seqirus. The facility also includes a state-of-the-art freezer capable of storing products at -80°C. The new facility will utilize advanced cell-based technology to produce influenza vaccines, supporting both seasonal vaccination programs and pandemic responses. There are countless moving parts and contributors that often go unnoticed in bringing projects like this to life. As the final touches are being completed at the Harpley Town Centre in Werribee South, we would like reflecting on the incredible work that went into bringing this project to life. The underground car park made installing the main Coles roof steel a interesting task, but we were fortunate to collaborate with Mainbrace Constructions Pty Ltd , who provided crucial support. Together, we brainstormed and found solutions whenever obstacles arose. This multi-stage project required the coordination of multiple trades onsite, with Mainbrace leading the way. The retail development features 24 specialty tenancies, a 1,300 sqm medical center, a 520 sqm gymnasium, an international grocer, a pharmacy, and more. We're thrilled to have partnered with SJ Higgins Group on the upgrade and modernization of Lalor Secondary College at the end of last year. Schools and renovating existing structures are our bread and butter, but this project had a unique twist. We found ourselves putting on our blasting gear and tackling tonnes of steel on-site! After the prep work, it was on to hanging sheets and transforming the space with a fresh coat of paint. We're big fans of the cool green chosen by the client! We fabricated and installed over 500 tonnes of galvanized steel for the project, doubling the available parking spaces. This expansion, part of the Victorian Government's Regional Car Parks Fund, will significantly improve accessibility for patients, staff, and visitors.
