Following on from our post earlier this year regarding the Golding SWC Acquisition (see link below), we are thrilled to advise that we have signed a Mining Services Agreement (MSA) with Stanmore SMC Pty Ltd (Stanmore) at the South Walker Creek Mine (SWC) in Central Queensland. Commencing in January 2026, to extend for a further 5-year term, the MSA has a total value of approximately $1.6B. See the ASX announcement for further details. October is National Safe Work Month, and this year the theme is "Safety is Everyone’s Business". It is a fundamental principle and right that our employees, contractors and the community are safe working in and around our projects, and it's important that our entire workforce is involved in making sure that we all go home safe every day. Experiencing the wonders of Woodbury Golding recently celebrated the grand opening of ‘Casuarina Park’, a fantastic new space within the Fiteni master planned community of Woodbury, west of Victoria Point in the Redland City Council. Golding are especially proud to have partnered with our local Lions Club to cook a BBQ for the event, bringing the Redland community together to celebrate this beautiful addition at Woodbury Estate. As we all know, a lot can happen during the course of a year, a month or even a week. Whether it’s your friend, partner, family member, or teammate, the reality is that all of us go through life’s little ups and downs. In some cases, the ups and downs are unfortunately not so little. Importantly, having regular meaningful conversations with the people important to us builds trust and normalises talking about what is ‘really going on’. You don’t need to be an expert to check in with people. But you do need to have a little bit of courage to ask R U OK? in your own way. Taking the time to listen and encourage action when people are struggling may help change their life in a positive way. Golding are a proud supporter of R U OK? Day, Suicide Prevention Australia and Beyond Blue. These charities make a positive difference in our local communities and undertake important research work in the prevention of suicide, and in the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving mental health. From Sovereign Islands to Harbour Shores..... Golding are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with our valued client, Lewis Land, to kick off the construction of thousands of new homes at the innovative Harbour Shores master-planned community on the northern Gold Coast. Recently, we celebrated a significant milestone with a ground-breaking ceremony attended by City of Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate, alongside Lewis Land Directors Marnie Lewis-Millar and Shay Lewis-Thorp, CEO Brett Draffen, and our dedicated project teams from both Lewis Land and Golding. Since then, our construction activities have been in full swing, transforming the site into a bustling hub of progress. We’re actively engaged in bulk earthworks and service installations, with the site visibly taking shape. Additionally, we’re proud to be leading the charge in sustainability, ensuring all our work meets the 6 Star Green Star Communities rating. Our partnership with Lewis Land spans over 30 years going back to the Sovereign Islands development, and this project underscores the high standards and collaborative spirit that Golding consistently brings to every project. Our business, Golding , is a national partner of GIVIT.org.au , a charitable organisation that supports vulnerable people and communities. When GIVIT reached out to ask for help in WA, our teams rallied together to assist. We were advised that Fitzroy Valley communities are still impacted by the January 2023 floods. A number of Aboriginal community-controlled health organisations identified a huge need for basic toiletries such as shampoo/conditioner, soap/body wash and toothpaste/toothbrushes. Essential toiletries were collected at Belmont and Welshpool, offering relief during a challenging time. We thank our Perth teams for their generosity. Golding is pleased to share that we have executed an agreement to acquire the mining services contract, associated fleet and transfer of the employees that HSE Mining Pty Ltd (HSE) has deployed to Stanmore Resources Limited’s South Walker Creek (SWC) mine site. The transaction will see Golding employ approximately 550 HSE personnel and operate the heavy mining equipment presently deployed at SWC. The mining services contract to be novated to Golding as part of the acquisition is expected to generate annual revenue of approximately $250M. Transition activities have now commenced, and we look forward to welcoming the HSE team at SWC into the Golding team, with an ongoing focus on working safely and productively to maintain continuity of operations at SWC.
