𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗫𝗫𝗩 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 Always a special day on the Trader calendar, yesterday we celebrated 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙚 25 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙇𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝 at Adelaide Oval. Together we were joined by 68 past and present employees of the Gerard Family businesses including GSM Trader, Mistral Retail and BTL. This event which started in 1955 represented the 69th consecutive Anniversary. Trader Chief, Simon Gerard said that collectively, there was over 2000 years of service in the room with Table 1 comprising 410 years of service. GSM Director, Matt Johnson, mentioned that when he first joined the business, that it was aspirational to join the Club. Former HR Manager, Malcolm Ball spoke of how industrial and employee relations go side by side and rattled off the many milestone staff events that made the culture so strong. 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝘆’𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘆 What a mega night we had at 𝙈𝙞𝙙𝙙𝙮’𝙨 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙤 𝙉𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙎𝙮𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙮, Commbank Stadium, taking out second place for Product of the Night. Team Trader was in force with Trader Chief, Simon Gerard plus Gary Savage and the local Trader team of Colin Churton and Shane Twaddell representing. Just over 150 contractors attended with staff and suppliers including the Middy’s six stores of 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙, 𝙈𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙠, 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙮, 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙠, 𝙋𝙖𝙙𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙚𝙣𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙝. The trade show was well received with our new Senoa glass fronted automation range once again being the talk of the show. It was also the first show to showcase our new Wolverine Busbars to add to our fast growing range of circuit protection. Customers were treated to a both Nicholas and Anton Middendorp in attendance and given some great insight into the current market. The Rexel Australia Value Through Knowledge event at Optus Stadium was another resounding success on Thursday night. The hero product for GSM Electrical - TRADER on the night was definitely the new #Hippo outdoor USB AC GPO. Being IP54, with shutters on the sockets, and 3.4A of charging USB power, sparkys were keen on the up-sell opportunity in their business with this great product.
