In the recently announced 2025 Halliday Wine Companion Awards, five wines from the Vasse Felix collection received 95 points or more, maintaining a 5-Star Red Winery Rating; "Outstanding winery regularly producing wines of exemplary quality and typicity. Will have at least two wines rated at 95 points or above, and has typically held a 5-star rating for the previous three years." Particular standouts were the 2022 Heytesbury Chardonnay and Chardonnay, 2020 TOM CULLITY, 2022 Syrah and 2023 Filius Sauvignon Blanc Semillon. We are thrilled to share the news that Chief Viticulturist Bart Molony has been named the 2025 Viticulturist of the Year by Halliday Wine Companion . ⁠ ⁠ A very well-deserved accolade for our vineyard leader and his team, who work tirelessly to raise the bar on fruit quality each year. Bart and his team caretake some of Margaret River's most important vineyard responsibilities across five sites for Vasse Felix and Idée Fixe, including the region's oldest Cabernet vines, with a focus on vineyard biodiversity and responsible, natural farming practices. ⁠ Upon receiving this award, Bart said "I feel privileged and honoured to be selected as this year's Viticulturist of the Year. Vintage 2024 has begun! It was a whirlwind of activity yesterday morning for the first pick in our Gibraltar Chardonnay Blocks in the Home Vineyard. Congratulations to the Vasse Felix Restaurant team, named Regional Restaurant of the Year at the West Australian Good Food Guide Awards, 2024. Judges said, "The restaurant business is tough, and many would argue it can be tougher in the regions. But, visit Vasse Felix year on year and you’ll see a continuity that any restaurateur would envy, wherever they are. Service is polished yet has the appropriate amount of country charm under Caleb Dreaver, and despite a changing of the guard in the kitchen newly minted head chef Cameron Jones is flexing his creativity and talent. There can be a temptation to categorise winery restaurants as a class apart, but really Vasse Felix is simply a class act." The Restaurant also received a three-star accolade in the inaugural star ratings of WA's Top 100, "awarded to the best of the best, representing venues at the top of their game, achieving everything they set out to on all counts." This rating was shared with extraordinary venues; Perth's Lulu La Delizia and Fremantle's Madalenas Bar. It's also wonderful to see possibly the largest representation of Margaret River venues to date in the WAGFG Top 100.
