For the first time since we launched: North Terrace Purple 💜✨

Over the past few weeks, staff from the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia have been hosting each other for a series of 'famils' across our shared cultural spaces, which will become part of our future campus footprint. Some of the spaces we're touring include: 🌹 Urrbrae House and Waite Arboretum – Waite Campus 🌏 MOD. – Adelaide City Campus 🪐 Adelaide Planetarium – Mawson Lakes Campus 📚 Barr Smith Library – Adelaide City Campus 🖼️ Samstag Museum of Art – Adelaide City Campus Each of these cultural entities contribute to our communities, supporting research, teaching, student experience, and outreach, through high-quality exhibitions and experiences. These visits have been a fantastic way for staff to connect, exchange knowledge, and gain insights into each other's work as we continue building a shared vision for the future, together.

We've officially completed the first part of the global launch of Adelaide University , finishing up in Melbourne and Sydney this week! 🎓🎉 We were joined by our onshore international education partners, pathway providers – Kaplan and Navitas – and key representatives from both the University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide . The University of Adelaide's Executive Director: Future Students, Shirley Chung , and the University of South Australia's Director: Global Recruitment & Engagement, Rishen Shekhar , were at both events, sharing the vision and ambitions of Adelaide University as a part of Australia’s prestigious The Group of Eight from 2026 🌏 Thank you to all our global partners and friends for celebrating the creation and launch of Adelaide University. Together, we will launch bright futures! ✨

This week, we were proud to attend the Australian International Education Conference (AIEC) in Melbourne 🎓🌏 This was the first time Adelaide University had a presence as a sponsor at AIEC, including across: ☕️ An exhibition booth and coffee cart, where we hosted informal conversations 🖋️ A monogramming station, where attendees could monogram AU-branded merch with their initials 🍫 Some Haigh's Chocolates blocks, offering attendees a 'taste of South Australia' We also sponsored a delegate lunch, where co-VC, Prof David Lloyd , and Deputy VC International & External Engagement, Prof Jessica Gallagher , were interviewed by Prof Stan Grant about future opportunities at Adelaide University. AIEC was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how Adelaide University will bring transformational investments in education, research, and innovation at scale, further strengthening South Australia as a global study destination of choice.

This week, we welcomed 60+ education agents to tour the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia campuses for the 2024 StudyAdelaide School-Focused Agent Famil 🌏 The agents arrived from across Australia, as well as from all over South Asia, South East Asia, North Asia, and Europe, and they visited a number of facilities, including: 🌙 Extraterrestrial Environmental Simulation (EXTERRES) laboratory 🦷 Dental Simulation Clinic 📈 Iress Trading Room 🏛️ MOD. a museum of discovery The week finished up with an Adelaide University Dinner at the National Wine Centre of Australia , hosted by the University of Adelaide's Executive Director: Future Students, Shirley Chung , and the University of South Australia's Director: Global Recruitment & Engagement, Rishen Shekhar . The agent partners had the opportunity to hear about Adelaide University's ambitions, strategies, and approaches to transforming students' learning experience and career outcomes. This week, the Adelaide University global launch wrapped up in mainland China and Hong Kong 🎊 At the events in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong (SAR), we were joined by partners and representatives from Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Taichung, and Macau 🤝 The events were hosted by our co-VCs, Prof Peter Hoj AC and Prof David Lloyd , who recalled both founding universities' long and productive relationships in the region through a rich history of transnational education, research collaboration, student exchange arrangements, and alumni communities. “With the region’s highly urbanised and growing economies, there are boundless opportunities for advancement, innovation and collective prosperity,” Prof Hoj and Prof Lloyd say.
