Last night, Wade and James represented NEM Group at the Coal Australia Townhall event in Townsville. 😀 The well-organised gathering highlighted the coal industry's vital role in supporting both regional Queensland and the broader state economy. Key discussions centred around jobs, community investment, and the importance of reliable baseload power. Local, State and Federal elected officials, along with their running mates, presented their perspectives on these crucial issues. As a local metal engineering company, NEM Group was particularly interested in the event, given that reliable baseload power is essential for business operations. Additionally, the steel used in our goods manufacturing processes relies heavily on coking coal and ore. Currently, without coal, manufacturing in Australia would come to a halt. Great to work on this project with Glencore Australia 's Townsville Port Operations Team. Using NEM Group methodology, our tower crane and our purpose manufactured man basket we were able to complete required works on this operational site with minimal disruption to Glencore business.
