The Foundation is a proud supporter of Deakin University researcher Kathryn Backholer's #DIGITALYOUTH project. With this funding, Deakin University researchers have developed and are now trialling an artificial intelligence (AI)-based system, SCANNER, to detect and quantify children and young people's exposure to targeted harmful advertising. 

We are pleased to see this research presented at Parliament House, which shows that children as young as 8 years old are being targeted with advertising for harmful and addictive products (see https://lnkd.in/dZD3aVwq)

Introducing the launch of the WISE IDEA Employer Toolkit! With support from The Ian Potter Foundation and collaboration with Monash University, this initiative marks a significant step in breaking down employment barriers for individuals living with mental health conditions. The toolkit aims to fill critical gaps in current employer support, providing businesses, including social enterprises, with essential resources and strategies to foster supportive workplace environments.

According to Shannon Lang, Director of WISE IDEA, "Unemployment rates for people with mental health conditions are unacceptably high. It’s essential that we provide workplaces with the specialist support they need to change this narrative."
