A security researcher discovered a vulnerability in a South Korean OEM, leading to the exposure of sensitive customer #data.

Names, private addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers were leaked, along with vehicle details such as registration numbers, colors, engine numbers, and mileage covered.

The subsidiary acknowledged the issue and confirmed that the vulnerability had been resolved.

Security researchers have discovered over 25 serious vulnerabilities in a German supplier's devices used in #automotive production. These flaws, identified in the devices' operating system and communication protocols, could let hackers hijack the devices. This breach risks ransomware attacks, halted production, and faulty car parts, posing safety and financial threats to manufacturers. The supplier is aware and plans to fix these issues promptly.
