Flanders Make keeps on growing! We are very proud to announce that two strong teams have joined the Flanders Make network, reinforcing our support for the industry! Davy Pissoort , leading ESAT's ‘Waves’ team in KU Leuven Brugge , has a vast experience in EMCD/RED related research projects, typically in close cooperation with industrial partners. One of his key research areas focuses on the dependability analysis for 'intelligent systems' going beyond mere safety considerations, offering broader insights into enhancing the overall resilience of autonomous (sub)systems, which is an important strategic research domain to enable the valorization of #AI driven technology by our industry. Wim Dewulf , Dean of the faculty of Engineering Technology of KU Leuven , has a team of more than 15 researchers focusing on manufacturing metrology, with particularly interest on how to use this technology inline. This lab has a unique set of instruments, including Xray CT devices and many other optical instruments to assess product and manufacturing process quality in research project or directly by our companies.
