'Korys' is the name chosen by the Colruyt family for their investment structure. It is derived from the Latin word for hazelnut tree – Corylus - which is at the origin of the Colruyt name. Our multi-disciplinary approach enables us to create a well-balanced, diversified portfolio of listed stocks and bonds, private equity funds, and direct participations in small and medium-sized companies. Through our investments, we aim to make a positive impact on people and on the planet, while generating attractive returns. A “3P” approach (People, Planet, Profit) forms the cornerstone of our investment strategy. We invest for the long term, as we realize that it takes time to achieve the sustainable impact we are aiming for. Did you know that 2 million people get a pacemaker every year? A field in which improvements will thus have an impact on the health and quality of life of very many people. 

That is why Korys is happy to join CAIRDAC, through the OMX Europe Venture Fund, and support them in their mission to further develop the world's first autonomous leadless pacemaker, a true game-changer for cardiac rhythm management.
