As Pride Month comes to an end, meet Sean Rymenans, Senior Consultant in People & Transformation and co-lead of PwC Shine in Belgium! 🌈 

💬 "I joined PwC Belgium because I wanted to work in an inclusive environment where everyone is accepted. From day one, I knew I wanted to help enhance this culture. Starting in a support role and now co-leading #PwCShine, PwC's LGBTQIA+ community, has been incredible. 

We organise events, promote the community, and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in the workplace. Just recently we hosted a discussion on microaggressions and allyship. I also participated in the EMEA Shine Leaders meeting in Lisbon, which was invaluable. 

While Belgium is advanced in terms of LGBTQIA+ rights, it remains crucial to keep celebrating Pride Month. Despite the progress, microaggressions and misconceptions about LGBTQIA+ issues persist, making continuous education and awareness essential. Pride Month amplifies the visibility of LGBTQIA+ people, ensuring their stories and voices are heard, which fosters deeper understanding and acceptance. 

I’m glad that at PwC we can keep conversations about LGBTQIA+ rights and issues active, and relevant."
