Let’s celebrate one year with Amer Alhamvi in our team. Amer Alhamvi began his journey with us in a unique setting. Coming straight from university he joined the team remotely as a freelancer from Turkey. It was a new setup for both sides, but also an excellent opportunity to get to know each other before moving to Austria. Amer Alhamvi totally convinced us with his eagerness to learn and his sense of ownership and reliability. In April, we were able to welcome him in Austria, where he now strengthens our Data processing team. “The team spirit is great and I enjoy getting to know everyone personally. I always receive support on a professional, but also on a personal level. “I am a skipper”, that’s how Matjaz Novak describes his job as the CEO at EVK DI Kerschhaggl GmbH in one sentence and with a laugh. And it’s true. Employees tend to focus on their tasks and projects, but someone has to keep the course, having the whole picture in mind – being the skipper. 😉 As a CEO, you don’t get a lot of appreciation and recognition for it, but it’s a crucial work, very often done behind the scenes. An interesting fact about Matjaz Novak is that in his younger days he had his own darkroom where he developed black and white photographs and had his own exhibitions. “It’s about being curious and going on a journey.” That’s what made Matjaz Novak leave former Yugoslavia at an age of 28 to study in the States. The journey took him to Switzerland and to many locations in Asia and China and finally to Austria, and 9 years ago to EVK DI Kerschhaggl GmbH . Matjaz Novak had a clear strategy for EVK DI Kerschhaggl GmbH since the beginning. He brings 40 years of experience in market development and a lot of intuition to the table. “I love the challenge of expanding the company and competing as a strong player on the market. And I am still up for this momentum, when hard work and good luck join and a company takes off with the right solutions at the right time.” His leadership principle is about fairness. “It’s a give and take. What you wish to receive you also have to give and play it fair.” He is also very clear about the biggest asset of a prospering company culture to him: “It’s this sense of ownership. We operate internationally and many countries participate in the game with a great workforce. It´s already a year since Matthias joined us at EVK DI Kerschhaggl GmbH . When he started as Field Application Engineer at our Professional Service team he already knew and worked with our products as well as with his team lead. As expertise is vital to select, configurate and analyze generated data, our Professional Service team supports our customers from the concept, over integration all the way to the commercialization of new systems. “My biggest strength is patience, and I am not giving up easily.” This attitude and his experience make Matthias a great enrichment to the team. What Matthias values the most about EVK DI Kerschhaggl GmbH , besides the benefits and perks all our employees receive, is the leadership style lived at EVK DI Kerschhaggl GmbH : “I feel extremely well supported by my team lead. Sometimes I'm thrown in at the deep end, but that's great for the learning process and I always have his support. I really appreciate that. I also have flexi time.
