Celebrating 55 years of community health in community hands | REACH is a community health centre that has been located on the east side of Vancouver since 1969. We became incorporated as a non-profit society in 1970 with a Board of Directors comprised primarily of community members and patients of the clinic.

Since its inception, REACH has endeavoured to meet the medical, dental, and cultural needs of the community with an emphasis on prevention and the development of programs which reflect the ongoing needs of the ever changing composition of the community.

Our Annual Health Fair brought together over 350 community members and 30 dedicated partner organizations! This multicultural and dynamic event was filled with Indigenous drumming and blessings, collaboration between Zumba and the Vietnamese line dancing group, Middle Eastern dance and music and a Latin-American musical performance. There were so many engaging activities including henna painting, sensory tables, interactive workshops, multicultural health promotion, bingo, prize draws, and a youth scavenger hunt, making it a truly diverse event. A highlight of the celebration was REACH's 55th anniversary, marked by two large cakes and everyone singing "Happy Birthday" together! Thank you for coming together and bringing so much joy 😊
