The Federation can trace its roots back more than a century to the year 1903, when 27 motorists formed a club to help owners of what was then a new invention known as a &quot;horseless carriage.&quot;​

🚨 Phishing alert 🚨 CAANEO is aware of a phishing campaign targeting Members and customers attempting to trick people into providing their personal data. The attempt falsely poses as CAA and tells people they have won a ‘Car Emergency Kit.’ It then instructs them to click a link and enter personal information to redeem the prize. If you receive an email, text, or phone call similar to this, please DO NOT click the link or share your information. The phone call may appear to be coming from CAA, but it is indeed a phishing attempt. While we have no control over these external phishing attempts, our priority is to protect our Members and customers.

Wildfires have wreaked havoc on so many families and so many communities across Canada in recent years. Every summer we have a tragedy like what we witnessed in Jasper this year. A couple of months ago, a group of us from CAA met with experts at an organization called Fire Smart, which is dedicated to preventing some of the most severe impacts of fires on homes and communities. It turns out there are more things that we can do to protect our homes from these events than we may realize. This month, drawing upon content from Fire Smart as well as other stakeholders, our team published an article in our digital CAA magazine, with some useful tips and considerations that I believe almost anyone can adopt.
