Exciting news! AWS Canada has just unveiled its new AWS Canada West (Calgary) Region, marking a significant milestone as the first major cloud services provider with an infrastructure hub in Western Canada. As KOHO operates on AWS we can now provide even more support for our users.

Our CTO, Jonathan Klein, shares the scoop:

Our teams all over Canada came together to wrap up the year in style this week! 

As a remote-first company, creating social hubs across Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary and online has been so important for us to keep our teams connected. And our holiday celebrations certainly proved it! 

From cookie decorating to ugly holiday sweaters, to bowling and charades, with lots of laughs and fun in between (including an appearance from the fabulous Miss Moço from season 3 of Canada’s Drag Race 🌈 ), the get-togethers closed off a great year for KOHO with a bang!

In yesterday’s fall economic statement, the federal government announced it would implement a consumer-driven banking framework in budget 2024, as well as make payment service providers, like KOHO, eligible for membership in Payments Canada — big news for Canadian banking 👏
