It was a full house in the Lab on Friday, October 25, for the kick-off of the Curtner Urban Leadership Program. The industrialization of Canadian housing is key to solving the current housing crisis, enabling the ability to construct sustainable, affordable homes fast. The building at 1120 Ossington Avenue in Toronto is a perfect example: Leveraging pre-fabricated building kits from Assembly Corp. meant the project was assembled in just 17 days. The result is 25 deeply affordable housing units built with sustainability and climate resiliency at the forefront.
