It’s not enough to just start and build a business. If you ever want to receive funding or exit the company, scaling your business to be able to be run on as autopilot as possible is key to achieving this. 💡

We’re giving 6 strategies to help you scale your business. The Harvard Business School calls it the Six “S” Framework:

1️⃣Staff - The top is lonely and you definitely won’t make it to the entrepreneurial top without a staff of skilled employees all working to their strengths.

2️⃣Shared Values - With staff comes a culture. The key is to create a culture of shared values that is not so personalized, but instead more shared.

3️⃣Structure - Who you have doing is just as important as the staff you hire. Knowing who to delegate and who you can utilize in place of you as decision maker will bring a new level of productivity to your day!

4️⃣Speed - Assessing just how fast you can and should grow is critical to founder success. Knowing how to maneuver at each stage in the venture space will allow you to scale much more efficiently.

5️⃣Scope - Knowing what’s within reach and what the best route for growing revenue within your business is the difference between scaling and still waking up everyday to make decisions. Solidify where you can grow, whether market or product, and refine the process.

6️⃣Series X - Having the right financing and having it aligned with your growth strategy helps to maximize growth while not overstretching your finances.

Fearless Fund is back in the news. Have you heard? If not, we’ll summarize for you: 

An appeals court ruled against Arian Simone and her company, Fearless Fund, a VC fund that was established to provide funding for Black women. She’s now urged President Biden to issue an executive order to protect diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. 

Simone believes that the same law meant to protect economic opportunities for us (Civil Rights Act of 1966) is now being used against us. With less than 1% of venture capital funds going to Black women entrepreneurs, we have to protect our rights at all costs.
