Last week we brought together our ecosystem partners, enablers, and collaborators in Hamburg – a big thank you to all Deutsche Telekom senior executives, leading VC & PE investors, and innovative portfolio & deal flow companies for joining us and celebrating T.Capital’s achievements in the past year. 🤝
 
We kicked off with a keynote by Thorsten Langheim, Board Member Group Development at Deutsche Telekom, highlighting the mix of Telekom’s strengths and the agility of a professional investment platform that T.Capital embodies.
 
Adding to the strategic T.Capital Ventures, he was delighted to announce a further strategic expansion:
 
🚀Introducing T.Capital Tech Fund: a new €2B vehicle that will enable DT to acquire majority stakes in later-stage companies.
 
The Tech Fund will complement cutting-edge technologies, unique skillsets and market access, ensuring Telekom remains the leading digital telco.
 
🇧🇪 Former Belgian Prime Minister & EU Parliament Member Guy Verhofstadt, joined us with a compelling and thought-provoking keynote on Europe's need to address emerging geopolitical threats and reinvent itself in order to stay economically relevant.
 
💡 Finally, we discussed “Forging Peace: Exploring the Interplay of Geopolitics, Cybersecurity & Defense Tech in the Age of AI" with panelists Charles Ames, Deputy CISO at RWE, Peter Garraghan, CEO at Mindgard, Nico Lange, Senior Fellow at Munich Security Conference, and Thomas Preuss, Managing Partner at DTCP.

Last Thursday was truly special as T.Capital and DTCP celebrated Girls'Day - Mädchen-Zukunftstag 2024 🎉
 
Our team had the pleasure of hosting 10 bright-minded young girls from grades 7-10 in Hamburg, all eager to explore the world of venture capital and private equity.
 
The girls gained valuable insights into the industry: They learned more about the DTCP investment platform and our different teams from Oliver Schmäschke and gained insights about the daily life of an investment professional from Sarah Röhm. Selina Thoma explained the importance of ESG, before Michael Rager shared his journey from investment until the exit of LeanIX. Claudius L. shared a case study focusing on successfully raising capital for a great business idea.
 
During lunch, Hanna Marie Asmussen, co-founder of Localyze, joined us and shared her journey of scaling her company up to 100 employees. To wrap up the day, Sabrina Becker gave tips and tricks for the girls' future application processes.
