❓Why are you working at Shimmer:

This stems largely from my interest in the mental health space as I’ve found many people generally don’t have access to proper support systems to help them move forward. I feel very privileged to have had some key people in my own life who helped me get to where I am, so I want to return the favor and make a significant impact in the world using my tech background to provide accessible care for everyone (starting with the ADHD community!)

❓Why are you excited about your role and why do you think it’s important to the greater mission: 

I love being a co-founder, and especially working in a technical role as CTO. I’ve always wanted to continue growing my technical skills while working on social impact initiative, and Shimmer truly allows me to have the best of both worlds. In both roles, I get the opportunity to lead our product’s vision and make sure we’re continuously building features and enhancements that make a real difference in our users’ lives and encourage them to continue pursuing their goals with their coach by their side.

❓Which Shimmer value do you most embody and why: 

I would have normally said Empathy in Action as empathy is my personal #1 value, but I’ve recently resonated a lot more with Joy in the Journey as I realized that life is short, and it’s important to cherish all the moments that happen along our individual paths. Working on a startup isn’t easy, so I want to make sure I’m always enjoying the hopefully very long journey ahead with my amazing team, loved ones, and everyone else I get the opportunity to meet along the way!

Helping support the ADHD community and increasing understanding of ADHD. Transcending geographical boundaries, resonating with individuals worldwide. Connecting with people all around the world and providing support to improve people’s lives.

The fact that there is a company providing top-level and affordable ADHD coaching support to individuals. After meeting the founders, I was taken away by the sense of community and visions for the future for ADHD and neurodivergent coaching support.
