🎤 Meet Wenuri Adikari, our Hotel and Hospitality Management BA student from Sri Lanka! 🇱🇰 She recently completed her six-month internship as an F&B trainee at the Saltz Restaurant (15 GaultMillau points!) in the luxurious The Dolder Grand Hotel in Zürich. ✨ 🎤 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬? "My roles were diverse and challenging. My primary duty was to ensure the buffet was always full and appealing. I had to know everything about the food to answer guests' questions, and I made sure their satisfaction was always met. 🎤 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩? "I learned what responsibility truly means. Working with a diverse team from different ages, cultures, and backgrounds taught me a lot. I also mastered meeting the high Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards. 🎤 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞? "It was my first-ever job. I had to adapt to a demanding schedule, flexible hours, and high standards. Working with multiple supervisors, each with different approaches, was tricky at first. But in time, I found my way and learned how to navigate through it all." 🎤 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲? "I have a few! My birthday was special. I had to work, but my manager and colleagues surprised me by taking me out after work and getting me a cake! 🎂 But the best part of my job was seeing the guests' faces light up when I met their expectations. I love going the extra mile to create unforgettable experiences for them. 😊" 🎤 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬?
