Royal Cosun invests CHF 3M in biotech scale-up planetary to advance the production of mycoprotein and other high-value fermented ingredients. Planetary’s innovative BioBlocks technology converts low-value feedstocks into sustainable, protein-rich ingredients, aligning with Cosun’s strategy to lead in fermentation-enabled food solutions. By leveraging Planetary’s technology, Cosun aims to diversify its portfolio with environmentally friendly, nutritionally rich ingredients like mycoprotein, which is high in protein and fiber, making it a popular plant-based protein alternative.
