We are excited to announce our follow-on investment in eVTOL aircraft giant BETA TECHNOLOGIES as they reshape the electric vehicle industry for both human travel and cargo shipping. Our investment is part of their $318 million Series C led by the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). The new funding will support BETA's production, certification, and commercialization efforts for its electric aviation technologies. These technologies include the ALIA eVTOL aircraft, advanced electric propulsion systems, and an expanding network of UL-certified, grid-tied multimodal charging systems capable of charging a wide range of electric vehicles. BETA’s founder and CEO, Kyle Clark, emphasized that this investment highlights the company's progress toward making electric aviation a reality. The company is working on FAA certifications for both their conventional and vertical takeoff variants and recently opened a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility to produce both aircraft and charging systems.
