This past week our Co-Founder Cedric CHANE was invited to share about his experience in the Korean startup environment, giving insight to how the cultural and business differences impact collaborations between Korea and French startups. Discussions about the Korean Tech ecosystem were shared with Sue Hyesoo Kim from CrowdWorks and Elina JS Eun from NAVER Corp, during La French Tech Seoul’s 10 year anniversary events!
 
To finish off the week, Aptero was present at #ComeUp2023 | COMEUP (컴업) global startup festival in #Seoul 🌐 With startups from 50+ countries, the event opened dialogue for addressing worldwide social challenges with technological advances, showcasing the potential of tech for making positive changes. We would also like to congratulate the top three winners of the Startup Pitch Contest BBalance QPerfect and LabSD, Inc. for their impressive pitches and inspiring work!

⚡ It’s easy to forget that going online produces a carbon footprint, and it’s much more difficult to imagine how big the environmental impact of data flow and storage can really be. To access a virtual world you also need an interface, which can be a computer, smartphone, or in this case, a VR headset, and the lifecycle of this hardware must also be considered when calculating total greenhouse gas emissions. In this eye-opening study, Gabriel Darcos analyzes the environmental impact of the growing use of virtual reality and metaverses.
