Thank you, Angela R Holter, for introducing me to Abbey Lin. You perfectly captured what we at RunwayFBU represent and the entrepreneurs we want to support. Abbey's deep expertise in ESG and compliance, together with the complementary technical expertise of En Abdulahu and Mustafa Adam, aligned well with our investment values.

Our engagement wasn't straightforward from the start. Initially, I asked Abbey to reconsider certain priorities, which are crucial to us as an investor. I expected her to return half a year later, but instead she pleasantly surprised me with a 2-week turnaround. Since then the hustle had shown no signs of slowing down. Jetting between Oslo and Silicon Valley multiple times, Abbey has been available and her commitment seemed to be unwavering, regardless of jet lag. 👏

Throughout this process, I connected with Abbey's colleagues and clients, including, Kimberly Mathisen from HUB Ocean, Silke Hitschke from Telenor, Agata Butterweck from Aker Solutions, Julie Berg previously with SLB and Aker Carbon Capture Joint Venture. Fortifai, a startup dedicated to fast-tracking and automating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulatory compliance, has secured €502k in a funding round led by RunwayFBU, Startuplab, and Impact Shakers 🇳🇴 🌿 

“We are excited to bring the sector past annual ESG reporting and develop a mass-market solution that enables continuous sustainability and compliance management,” explained Abbey Lin, CEO and founder.

No vacation mode yet because we've got big news to share: meet our portfolio company, Fortifai! The startup has just closed a 5.7 MNOK international investment round with support from us at RunwayFBU, Startuplab, and Impact Shakers Ventures from Belgium. 

Fortifai isn't just another ESG reporting tool; it goes beyond the once-a-year digital checklist by fast-tracking and automating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulatory compliance. The team led by Sustainability and Compliance expert Abbey Lin is already making significant strides in the market, collaborating with global multinationals like Telenor and piloting innovative solutions with corporate giants such as Aker Solutions, Hydro Rein, and Xeneta.
