To celebrate, we have been reflecting on the last six years, and those significant moments that have shaped our journey. 𝟭) 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝘂𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗻 Our iconic Nun image, captured by the legendary Rankin ( THE HUNGER ), debuted on posters and billboards and has defined our brand ever since. 𝟮) 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 In 2018, founder Luke Boase met Honest Burgers Ltd Tom Barton ( Tom B. ) in Brixton Market. After just one sip, Tom agreed to list Lucky Saint in every Honest location—a pivotal moment for us. 𝟯) 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝘂𝗯 In March 2023, we opened The Lucky Saint Pub in Marylebone on 58 Devonshire Street. Over the last 18 months, we have created an inclusive pub that serves the best of alcohol-free and alcohol options, and a brand home for our incredible team. 𝟰) 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 We took home Brand of the Year at the The Marketing Society Awards. Competing with giants like McDonald's and IKEA 𝟱) 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 There’s nothing like a freshly poured pint. Reaching 1,000 draught venues at the start of 2024 was a huge milestone for our team. 𝟲) 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗲 We launched our first new product in five years—the Hazy IPA. 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡: Nick Dwyer 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 Beavertown Brewery 🌟 A big thank you to Nick Dwyer, Creative Director at Beavertown Brewery , for sharing the remarkable creative journey of the brand with everyone at Lucky Saint last week. From the first Gamma Ray can designs to current billboard campaigns, Nick has been the creative force behind Beavertown Brewery , crucial to maintaining its distinctive style over the past 13 years. So to have him come in and talk about their journey was a real treat for everyone in the office. Here are a few highlights that stood out: 🤝 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 Beavertown thrived by partnering with local artists early on, building a community around both creators and drinkers. This approach made connections a key part of the brand's story. 🎨 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 The Gamma Ray label set Beavertown apart visually, and Nick stressed the need to evolve packaging while keeping that distinct look for strong brand recognition. 🙋♂️ 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 As Beavertown expanded, Nick emphasized staying true to the brand's personality and rebellious spirit, ensuring its authenticity through growth and change. This openness inspired us to introduce Mental Health First Aid ( MHFA England® )training as a vital support resource to all our staff. Our founder, Luke Boase , has always believed that real change occurs when training is integrated into the business. So recognising the unique challenges in the hospitality industry, we saw an opportunity to extend this support to our partners. 3 years on and we are incredibly proud of the impact of the initiative so far: ✅ Over 500 external partners have been fully trained as Mental Health First-Aiders ✅ 100+ additional team members have completed the training ✅ The initiative has sparked new policies and procedures, including flexible working, free therapy, mental health policies, and Mental Health First Aid ambassador programs We look forward to continuing this important work as we move into the next phase of our journey. 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗨𝗡 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 Cheers to our third and final Run Club of the season with SUMS_CLUB last night. We had an incredible turnout once again (despite the wet weather), with runners completing a 5k loop around Regent’s Park then heading over to our pub for pizza (provided by the one and only HOMESLICE PIZZA ) and pints on us.
