Welcome to the world of EcoSecurities 🌏 Founded in 1997 and with over 700 emission reduction projects under their belts, EcoSecurities have been bridging the gap between environmental impact schemes and the capital required to fund them for over a quarter of a century. Whilst EcoSecurities have a strong track record in the carbon offsetting sector, a crowded and ever evolving market meant they needed a new brand and positioning to help keep them at the forefront of the cause. They needed help to focus their offer and firmly cement them as one of the market leaders in funding and developing impactful carbon projects. How do you judge a rebrand? In a world of shiny case studies, creative awards and design blogs, it’s a hot topic. To wrap up our experience of working on the Team GB brand, our CD Graeme Cook has written a piece on what we think made the project successful. Seeing the brand rolled out across so many touch points, by multiple teams, has given us all a sense of pride. With the Paris Olympics now underway, (and following some medal winning performances by Scarlett Mew Jensen, Yasmin Harper, Adam Peaty, Tom Daly and Noah Williams!) we're delighted to finally share our case study for the Aquatics GB brand we launched few months ago. Aquatics GB is the governing body for aquatic sports in the UK, which includes Swimming, Diving, Para-swimming, Artistic Swimming and Water Polo. It is also responsible internationally for the high performance representation of these sports. Previously known as British Swimming, we were asked to create a new name and identity that would help unite all the aquatic disciplines under a stronger, more commercially viable brand in time for the Paris Olympics. Our brand idea, 'Immersive Excellence', is compelling to both athletes and the general public alike, whilst being a tangible promise that is both performance-led and benefit-led. It drives the athletes and their teams to be the best they can be, whilst also opening the sport up to broader audiences, inviting them to get excited, show support or even be inspired to take the plunge themselves and get involved in aquatic disciplines. It’s an idea that encapsulates what the business and brand needs to deliver. To bring our brand idea to life we created an identity system inspired by the free-flowing, organic forms of water. This direction was weaved throughout all elements of the brand; from the GB splash logo, to the drip inspired typeface, aqueous colours and fluid patterns. The 2024 Paris Olympics has finally arrived, and everyone at Thisaway HQ has been so excited to see our Team GB brand rolled out across social media, at the training camps, athlete's village and beyond leading up to the Games. Our 'Everyday Extraordinary' positioning has been central to a lot of the brands social content and partnership strategy, and we can't wait to get down to the fanzones to see our work on these venues come to life. 🏆 Award Alert! 🏆 Yesterday we had an extremely successful evening at the Transform Awards 2024, winning (count them) six awards. Our Team GB rebrand scooped two Golds in 'Best Use Of A Visual Property' and 'Best Creative Strategy (Consumer), and a Silver in 'Best Identity in Sports And Leisure. Our rebrand of The Jockey Club also won two Silvers in 'Best Use Of A Visual Property' and 'Best Creative Strategy (Business), and a Bronze in "Best Brand Consolidation'. We're delighted to see our work and thinking recognised at this level. Go team!

Farewell British Swimming, hello Aquatics GB. Today, we were at the London Aquatics Centre for the launch of our latest rebrand. Introducing Aquatics GB , a new umbrella brand that brings the UK's aquatic disciplines, athletes and coaches together to create a unifying platform for growth and a storytelling mechanic designed to bring fans closer to the sport. Built around our 'Immersive Excellence' positioning, we've developed a new name and created a cohesive, dynamic identity system that flexes across each discipline. Our full case study is coming soon. In the meantime, the first activation of the brand will be at the AquaticsGB Swimming Championships next week. Make sure you tune into the action on BBC Sport and Channel 4 and check out the brand. We'll be there cheering on the athletes. Exciting times ahead!
