About the LCRI:

The LCRI released at the end of November 2023 is a proposal, subject to change. EPA intends to finalize the LCRI proposal prior to the compliance deadline of the LCRR, which is October 2024. 

Between now and October 2024, subject entities are still complying with the LCR. EPA is taking a few items from the LCRR and making those due on October 16, 2024. Tasks that will be due on October 16, 2024 include:

1 – Service Line Inventory (SLI) is due.
2 – Public notification associated with the inventory to all customers that have a lead service line, galvanized requirement replacement or unknown within 30 days after inventory.
3 – Notification of all customers within 24 hours once it is discovered that there is a lead action level exceedance of 15 ppb.
