We are honored to have had Chancellor Scholz and Science Minister Schüle visit us today to explore our technology. During their visit, they tested one of our applications developed in collaboration with Siemens and the Salzburg Festival. Using our #2SyncSDK , the application seamlessly integrated the physical environment into the virtual experience like a virtual skin in seconds, placing the Chancellor and Minister inside the Salzburg Festival Hall. They interacted with physical-virtual objects, moved freely co-located in the space, and experienced the immersive environment without any issues like motion sickness or safety concerns. Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz zu Gast am HPI – zusammen mit Wissenschaftsministerin Manja Schüle. Heute durften wir Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz auf unserem Campus begrüßen. HPI-Geschäftsführer Prof. Ralf Herbrich hieß ihn herzlich willkommen. Gemeinsam mit Brandenburgs Wissenschaftsministerin Manja Schüle verschaffte sich der Kanzler einen Überblick über unsere neuesten Forschungsprojekte und Innovationen. Unsere HPI-Expert:innen, darunter Prof. Falk Uebernickel (付云鹏) , Prof. Ariel Dora Stern , Dr. Frank Pawlitschek , Björn Steiner, Markus Wutzlhofer und David Bizer , stellten Scholz spannende Projekte in den Bereichen #DesignThinking , #DigitalHealth , #Entrepreneurship und unserem Maker Universe vor. Besonders eindrucksvoll war die Live-Demo von Julian Zietemann und Moritz Loos vom HPI-Startup 2Sync , die mithilfe von VR-Brillen die Verschmelzung von physischer und digitaler Welt demonstrierten und den Kanzler virtuell nach Salzburg schickten. 🌐 Ein weiteres Highlight war das studentische Bachelorprojekt "Gorillawatch", präsentiert von Maximilian Schall , das eine #KI zur Identifizierung bedrohter Gorillas entwickelt. Die Doktorandin Charlotte Brandebusemeyer und der Doktorand Fabian Stolp zeigten, wie #Wearables im medizinischen Bereich neue Möglichkeiten eröffnen. Und Doktorandin Elizabeth Y. stellte ein innovatives Gerät für Vertical Gardening vor, das sie mithilfe unseres 3D-Druckers im Maker Universe geschaffen hat. 🌱 Neben den Präsentationen nahmen sich Scholz und Schüle auch Zeit, die Fragen der Mitarbeitenden und Studierenden rund um das Thema #Digitalpolitik und ihren Umgang mit Hass im Internet zu beantworten. Als Andenken an seinen Besuch am HPI überraschte das Team vom HPI Maker Universe den Bundeskanzler mit einem ganz besonderen Souvenir, seinem Kopf aus dem 3D-Drucker.
