🌐 Microlise, a fleet management technology provider in UK, was hit by a cyberattack, disrupting the operations and tracking systems of various companies: DHL’s parcel delivery, a UK local convenience store chain, as well as Serco, the UK prisoner escort and custody services operator. Serco is one of the largest contractors for the UK Ministry of Justice, moving more than 300,000 prisoners every year. But due to this supply chain attack, inmate tracking devices and panic alarms had been disabled, and prison transport vehicles had been sent out “without security for staff.” Navigation and notifications for estimated arrival times were also unavailable. 🌐 A phishing campaign “Phish n’ Ships” have been hacking online shops to show fake product listings and scam customers. They infect these legitimate sites with malicious scripts by exploiting known vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, or compromised administrator credentials. Once compromised, they would upload scripts like " zenb.php " or " khyo.php ," with which they upload the fake product listings. The hackers also SEO-optimize these listings to increase visibility on Google Search. Users who click on these products are redirected to a fraudulent website that mimics the interface of the compromised online shop. The checkout process may seem legitimate but it does not include any data verification, which is a sign of potential fraud. ⚠️ The malicious sites steal the information victims enter, including financial and personal data, and the purchased item is not shipped to the buyer. ⚠️ New Ransomware Alert: Cybercriminals are using Microsoft Teams to impersonate internal help desk staff and deploy BlackBasta ransomware. They would first overwhelm victims with email spam, then pose as the company’s IT support to “help resolve their spam problems.” They add the victims into a Microsoft Teams chat with external users that appear to be help desk, using Entra ID tenants like: - securityadminhelper.onmicrosoft[.]com - supportserviceadmin.onmicrosoft[.]com - supportadministrator.onmicrosoft[.]com - cybersecurityadmin.onmicrosoft[.]com In these chat messages, attackers also send malicious QR codes to trick victims into installing remote access tools. Beware of Phishing scams.
