In 2018, in the first corporate sustainability bond of its kind in Southeast Asia, ADM Capital acted as Facility Manager for the Tropical Landscapes Finance Facility (TLFF), a landmark USD95m financing to support sustainable rubber production in Indonesia. 

The bond was issued in partnership with BNP Paribas, UN Environment Programme, World Agroforestry, USAID and the ADM Capital Foundation to help PT Royal Lestari Utama (RLU) produce sustainable natural rubber according to clear environmental and social safeguards, across 88,000 ha in two provinces in Indonesia.

This week, the notes fully repaid as France’s Michelin Group purchased 100% of RLU, delivering commercial returns to noteholders whilst enabling the advancement of the Company as it becomes a subsidiary of a multinational business.
