Understanding risk characteristics, including causal factors, of steam turbine machinery loss events is a key component to reducing steam turbine failure probability. AEGIS Loss Control regularly monitors and analyzes steam turbine losses to identify exposure trends and support its members in mitigating loss events. On September 11, 2024, we held our annual AEGIS Impact Day in partnership with Rise Against Hunger, a remarkable international organization dedicated to ending hunger. Over 60 of our employees packed more than 15,000 meals – enough to feed 70 children for an entire school year – and an additional 16 employees took part in a virtual educational event on how to address hunger in communities.
