One of our team members had extensive surgery last week. He will be out of commission for 12 weeks. The Jackson Team showed their support this morning by all wearing the same t-shirt two of their amazing foremen designed. Their surprise brought Wesley to tears. A big shoutout to Dave Robinson for organizing a Trap Shoot fundraiser to support Wesley and his family during this challenging time. With over 75 people signed up and more than $10K already raised, the support has been overwhelming and continues to grow. This is just one of the many reasons why we LOVE the Jackson TEAM. The dedication and compassion these guys have shown in finding ways to help Wesley and his family have been nothing short of amazing. On Monday, October 28th, four key leaders from our Jackson team visited Chester County High School to speak with students in the VoTech areas of Construction and Advanced Manufacturing. They shared information about AFPG, the benefits of the Union, and our apprenticeship program. They also provided insights on crafting resumes and navigating the interview process. The students were highly engaged, asking several thoughtful questions. We’ve been invited to return at the end of the school year to speak with seniors who are uncertain about their future paths. These classroom visits, which began last year, have been incredibly rewarding. Russ Becker’s first visit to our College Station office was a memorable one! He hosted a Town Hall during which he discussed the state of the business, M&A activities, growth opportunities, areas for improvement, leadership development, and his personal journey to his role as CEO of APi Group. The open-ended Q&A session was a highlight. Russ's approachable demeanor, honesty, and relatability made the conversation meaningful and interesting. One standout moment was when Russ discussed the role of AI in our business. He shared a fascinating example of how a company can use AI to help alarm technicians troubleshoot issues. Through video communication and real-time language translation, AI is enhancing efficiency and continuously adapting to improve the process.
