4AG Robotics is a British Columbia, Canada-based company that has developed an autonomous harvesting robot for the mushroom industry. The company aims to alleviate labor challenges in the industry by providing a fully autonomous robotic harvester that can scan mushroom beds, identify ripe mushrooms, pick them, trim the stems, and place them into containers. The robot operates autonomously for over 24 hours at a time, maximizing yield for mushroom farms. 4AG Robotics has raised $17.5 million in equity financing from investors including BDC Capital’s Industrial Innovation Venture Fund and InBC Investment Corp.
