🌾 Agriculture around the world is increasingly at ⚠ risk of being disrupted due to weather hazards and threats, such as flooding, water scarcity, drought, etc. 

The summer period is usually the most unstable period for most countries in the northern hemisphere, and extreme weather hazards have been even more common for the last few years due to climate change. 🌡 ☀ 

👉 One of the most direct ways disasters affect agriculture is through lower-than-expected production. This causes direct economic loss to farmers which can cascade along the entire value chain - even affecting the growth of the sector or entire national economies. 📈 

⚠ Scientists warn that these types of extreme weather events may become more frequent, intense, and longer-lasting, ✅ so we must speed up the preparation for this new reality of climate change, which may become increasingly common as the planet warms up.
