This segment also invests in biomethane production units, as well as develops stations for distributing natural bio-gas for vehicles and hydrogen to support clean mobility; operates biomethane production units for use in the maritime industry; and supplies gases for the offshore oil and gas platforms, offshore wind turbines, and cryogenic transportation by sea. Today we celebrate International Education Day, an important date for the #FondationAirLiquide, which has been supporting education projects for 15 years as part of its mission of solidarity.

In 2023, the Air Liquide Foundation supported 10 education projects in 9 countries, including Burkina Faso, France, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, the Philippines, Romania, Turkey and Vietnam. Among other things, these projects have enabled young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to gain access to quality education, and other hospitalized children to escape the isolation they face in hospital.

The Air Liquide Foundation thanks all the Air Liquide employees who have devoted so much of their time and energy to these projects through volunteering and mentoring.

Air Liquide is proud to participate in the HYGUANE project, supported by European Space Agency - ESA, CNES and ADEME in French Guiana. The goal of this project is to #decarbonize the industrial activities of the Guiana Space Center (CSG) as well as mobility in French Guiana thanks in part to #renewable and #lowcarbon #hydrogen.

With the HYGUANE project, hydrogen will be produced by a 1.25 MW electrolyzer, powered by renewable electricity from a #photovoltaic field on the CSG site. This PEM electrolyzer will be operated by Air Liquide.

With over 60 years of experience across the entire hydrogen value chain, Air Liquide is a world leader in this molecule, which is set to play a key role in #energytransition.
