Aledia is a French company based in Grenoble that develops and manufactures a unique microLED display technology based on a 3D architecture using gallium-nitride (GaN)-on-silicon nanowires (WireLED™). Their technology offers advantages such as greater battery life, better outdoor readability, improved image quality, and higher resolution. Aledia's microLED technology is made on large-area silicon, enabling volume manufacturability, high yield, and low cost. The company was founded in 2011 and has received recognition for its patent applications and is a member of the French Tech Next 40 growth-stage program. They have secured investments from notable investors such as Intel Capital, TEL, Valeo, Ingka Investments, and more. Aledia has established R&D and production facilities in Echirolles and Champagnier, respectively.
