PŪRAU, representing Pūtaiao (science), Hangarau (technology), Pūkaha (engineering), and Pāngarau (mathematics), is more than an educational framework; it's a movement towards inclusivity and recognition of the long-standing contributions of Māori to these disciplines. 

It's this integration of mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) and STEM that has enabled Whare to excel as a modern-day Māui, using his talents and insights to navigate the challenges of the biomedical engineering field.
