Celebrating Success at the Harvey Milk Terminal 1 Wrap Party! 🎉 Last month, our team at The Allen Group, LLC, including Owner LaVerda Allen and President Schatzie Jefferson, celebrated the completion of the SFO Harvey Milk Terminal 1. It was a wonderful evening recognizing this remarkable achievement and the hard work of everyone involved. The Allen Group proudly provided program management services for this $2.4 billion project, including schedule and cost control, document control, sustainability management, construction management, stakeholder engagement, contract administration, commissioning, and activation. We helped create facilities that enhance customer convenience, increase operational capacity, and meet stringent sustainability goals. Harvey Milk Terminal 1 has set new standards in airport innovation and sustainability, with accolades such as: 🏆 American Institute of Architects – Climate Action Award 🏆 Outstanding Infrastructure Development 🏆 LEED Platinum Certification (1st in the world) 🏆 WELL Certification (1st in the world) 🏆 2022 John L. Martin Partnered Project of the Year 🏆 World's First Airport Terminal Named for an LGBTQ Leader The phased opening concluded with the new south check-in lobby and a post-security connector to Boarding Area C on June 17, 2024. This project has been a journey of milestones since its first phase opened in July 2019, including new departure gates, a museum gallery, and exhibits honoring Harvey Milk’s legacy.
